PopcornPalooza Grade 1A of 2012-2013

Today (Oct 5, 2012) grade 1A had a bake sale and “PopcornPalozza”  and raised 1 million, 1 hundred and 99 thousand rupiah for the Dr. Ating Foundation. Two hundred thousand of it ,was for shirts, so a bit less in the total profit. It is not  a huge amount of money, but hopefully every little bit will help.

I was very touched to see two children from grade 2 helping us, although they are not in grade 1 anymore.  Kenza and Charlotte both helped by bringing popcorn, making cones to serve it in with drawings on them, and making a lovely sign (on a bamboo post)! They also both wore their Tarsier shirts, as did quite a few 2nd graders.  I hope these connections to people who really care will continue to help us as we continue to work together.
